It is my opinion that the noble DVD player, no matter how technologically advanced we get will never become extinct as far as media types go. Not for home entertainment, but rather for ability and flexibility of the Portable DVD player. Nowadays, you can watch a DVD absolutely anywhere your heart desires. In the car, on the roof of your building, by the lake, on the top of mount Everest. Whatever. The portability of these players now allows us to charge the power source, get mobile and decide on any location from which to watch our favorite presentation or movie flick.
